Conflicts are actual or perceived opposition of value and interest. Conflicts arises in our daily life on many issues, from which some of are in our control or some of are because of external factors. There are several reasons behind conflicts-
- Differences regarding responsibility
- Substandard performance
- Differences regarding authority
There are other reasons also responsible for the conflicts. In the corporate world conflicts arises because of many reasons, but one main reasons of occurrence of conflict in the corporate world is miscommunication. Gap in communication can stop the conversation. There are four main words, which are creating conflict and stop the conversation .i.e.
- Always
- Never
- Everything
- Nothing
Always is derived conclusion from the past and make assumption for the future. Always is used for opposed to something regularly or occasionally. This word can create problem while communicating.
Never is also based on the conclusion, which derived after analyzing past situation and make assumptions for the future. This word makes circumstances negative, which may lead to the many problems in communication and stop the conversation.
Everything, this word has no validity, which affects our communication as well as our leadership qualities. This word takes most of the situation in the consideration, from which many situations are relevant and many are not.
Nothing, this word also lacks validity, which affects our credibility. This word is taken into consideration things, which are irrelevant and impatient. This word might create vary peril situation, while communicating massage.
So these are the four main words which cause problems in communication. To avoid such situation good leader always have to be careful while choosing such words in conversation. Always be specific and talk up to the point to avoid conflicts.
