Walking Steps

                                 This is my first story. I have written this as a part of story competition.

It was cool morning of winter. Joe came out for the morning walk at the beach side as per his regular schedule. He was briskly walking on the side of the beach. In the morning time there are other people around but it was too early for others to get up for morning walk in lazy winter morning.

Joe always puts on his headphone while he come out for the walk everyday and followed the sea side way for the walk. He feels the cool sand on his foot and cool breezy air on the face it makes him feel fresh. As his root is the same for all morning so, he was quite friendly with the stuff coming around.

One day while following his normal schedule he found something unusual happing in his way but he ignore it and try to continue with his walk. It goes for some days but it became daily practise. He was felt like some one is following him but, when he looks back there was no body. One day he tried to concentrate on the stuff happening with him. He walked slowly and felt that someone is following him and he stop suddenly. He felt that the same that now that thing also stopped and felt like standing behind. He looks back but no body was around.

He stands for a while and looks down. He was shocked after seeing what he saw. His eyes did not believe what was there. There are some one’s step marks there apart from him. Someone is following him whom he is not able to see but he can felt. He was shocked and was not able to think how to react to the situation. He was scared.

He thought for a moment and decided to move in his direction. He was not sure what was going to be but he wants to know the reason and why this happening to him. He started walked slowly. When he started he noticed to those steps overtake him and walking ahead of him. Joe understands that it wants him to follow. He started following the steps and after walking to certain distance it stopped. Joe started looked around to find something as it stopped and he find one chain Pendle in it. When he opened that Pendle he found one beautiful girl’s picture in it, and at the other side name written on it; Amily.

Joe was curious to know what it means and what she wants from him. He thinks for a moment to communicate with her. He wrote on the sand what do you want? And waited for a moment. He noticed that she is writing just beneath his question I need your help.  Joe wrote second question who are you? How Can I help you? He can not see anything but can see that she is writing on the sand. She wrote in return that I am Amily. I've killed by the gangster. She was leaving with her father. She was very successful, rich and beautiful. She was killed along with her father and looted all her money and treasure. They killed her father too and throw them at the basement of the house. They took Amily with them. They tied her up a heavy rope and take her in the middle of the ocean. They throw her in the water and she died.

She wanted to take revenge of her murder and his father’s. She draws the faces of gangsters and on sand and sign marked on their body. So, Joe can easily help her to send them behind the bars.

Joe visited Amily’s house and found his father’s dead body. He informs the department for the murder. He helps the cops to track the victims down when cops asked Joe how come you know all these. He answered that she was her good friend and it was long time she was not answering him so thought that he could pay visit to her house and he came to know the reality.

Amily’s body was still missing and cop was searching for it. Joe was aware about where is she. Cops get success in tracking down the victims based on the clues and hint provided by Joe in a smart manner. He knows that no body will believe him if he will tell the truth. So he plans it out and settles the entire thing accordingly. Cops are still searching for the Amily’s body. Joe was aware about the body.

One morning, after all these Joe went to the beach side and takes a boat. He went to the point in the ocean where Amily’s body thrown. He swims down there and found her body in the water which was in a terrible situation. He collects her body from there and came back without any body notice him. He buried her body with all ritual in the graveyard secretly.

He felt good after this and he continues with his daily schedule. Next morning he was briskly waking on the side beach and reached to the point where he communicated with Amily for first time and he was surprise to see something amazing. He found Amily’s Face drawn on the sand and she was smiling.
